what's the name of this NES game?!
Hey, guys, I hope this is in the right forum. My apologies if I screwed that up.
Over the years, a particular game has been KILLING me--a friend had it when we were kids, and I can't remember the name of it (or much about it). I hope it wasn't a prototype or unreleased game. From the graphics, I'd say it was late 80s or early 90s.
My memory provides little, so I'll be surprised if anyone can guess it from what I recall. It's a side-scroller. You start out above ground and go left, pass a large tree (I think) and then go underground (down a ladder, I think). There are many characters, they're cartoony and round-shaped. I believe you can choose between them at different times. There are little buildings (called INNs) and I can't remember if you can go inside them, or what they're for. If I recall correctly, the background (while underground) is black. It's a pretty dull game, there's not much to do and I don't remember dying frequently. The purpose eludes me.
The two main things are that it's underground and there are inns--anybody?
