Anyone kno the name of this game?? HELP

Ok well when i was younger i played this really odd game on the nintendo 64
it was very japanesey lol
You were this little man and he had a read hat.. or was bald lol
and he used to punch as his attack but his fist used to shoot off foward (kinda like rayman) its game play was kinda like mario..
The main bit i rememer is you can jump on these red poles(made from lil circles) and they wiggles as you fall down them.. or jump off... yeh random.
and if you jump and grab it from the top you get an extra life.. .
Anyway i'd like to kno the name of this game!! as i really cant rememeber
and i want to find it again!!
