characters in super smash bros brawl

i've done some researching(thanks to smashbros.com and other sources) and there's a total of 40 characters......that's right sakurai wasn't lying. i can tell you all the characters if you don't already know but most people at this point know them all.

Pit, Wolf, Wario, Ike, Lucario, Toon Link, Diddy Kong, R.O.B., Snake
Aaaand...um....I can't think of any more off the top of my head.

I actually did some research and I found out that Meta Knight and Giga Bowser are in it I think

its 35 but technically its 39 counting sheik, zero suit samus, and squirtle, ivysaur,& charizard. some might count the pkmn trainer(for his down+B,final smash) making 40.g
