Favorite Classic Gameboy Game
My favorite here would have to be Wario Land 3. The game was an absolute classic and a fun challenge. The gameplay was fun, the replay value was high too. Seeing if you could find all the hidden treasures and get the best ending. It was even fun trying to see how many different endings you could unlock, and the game was just long enough for it not to be a pain to go through several times.
On top of everything, none of the areas were 'frustratingly hard'. Some were difficult, but nothing that would wear the nerves on a gamer.
What's yours?

Kirby's Pinball, the original Pokemon were well designed as well though.

I never tried Kirby's Pinball, so I can't say anything really..
Pokemon was ok for gameplay value, but the design was really basic, even for it's time. That's just my personal opinion, however.

Metroid II, that game raped me so much, well the last boss did. It was mostly easy and then you get that crazy ass. I killed it with my last shot, classic...

yeah certain gamboygames hold a place
I've played countless gameboy classics like zelda: link's awakening , metroid 2 return of samus , mysterium, so on and the best one considering gameboys limiting capabilities was Final Fantasy Adventure also known as secret of mana 1 in japan, i believe. the game began as the main person fighting in a gladiator type battle for the kings entertainment. hardcore rugged. outside the castle you get pushed down like a 6 screen waterfall. crazy.
the beginning was sick it made me want to climb back up the water fall and get him . the game creates determination in you through story that the others didn't. You get attached individuals that come along with you and some end up DYING shocked me for a GB game. leaves you with the feeling anything can happen its a final fantasy adventure. other games lack those kind of elements to be entirely true classics not by the name of the game like zelda or metroid but by a true classic story

Favorite Classic gameboy game would have to be any game from the Final Fantasy series, I could sit there for hours playing them.
Nintendo Fanboy for LIFE and I'm not afraid to admit it.

links awakening was weird because it was like they were trying to copy link to the past. Only game that stole my soul on the original gameboy was tetris. I also cleared mario land 1. which would have to be my second favourite

yah, link's awakening is the best GB game of all time, and it was the first game I've ever had. But unfortunately I lost it :( I wish I could play it again

There are so many that I played to death and still play today!
1. Nemesis
2. Gradius: Interstellar Assault
3. Metroid II
4. Super Mario Land
5. Super Mario Land 2
6. Donkey Kong Land 1 & 2
7. Pokemon (blue)
8. Wario Land 1 & 2
9. Yoshi's Cookie
10. Sneaky Snakes
I held my list down to ten, which was hard to do. Well sort-of, there are the 1 & 2 stuff in that list. I cheated, I guess.

It's interesting how many people have Kirby's Pinball on their list. I remember owning this game as a child, and I was addicted to it like it was crack. Looks like I was not the only one who loved this game.
My list would go something like this:
Tetris
Zelda
Metroid II
Kirby's Pinball
The Final Fantasy Legend
I thought the Mario Land games were pretty fun, but pretty basic platformers. Nothing too special. I couldn't really get into DK Land because the characters blended into the backgrounds on that tiny little yellow/green screen; it was just too damn hard.
